How I work, and prices:

• I do written translations from Swedish or English into Spanish, via e-mail (on a freelance basis, registered with the Spanish tax office as such), both for private persons and for companies. I specialize in tourism, nutrition/food and religion, but as you can see in Experience I have been working with various other subjects, such as medical or sailing.

• I reside in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, where I offer services of interpretation between Spanish, Swedish, and English. I am also a mulilingual liason ("link") offering my other languages: Spanish-Swedish-English-German-Italian-French, in multilingual settings.

I have a worldwide network of contacts for consultation and support. When it comes to dictionaries, I own the full range of Nordstedts for Swedish, Oxford and Collins for bilingual English-Spanish, the Oxford English Dictionary (monolingual), and Maria Moliner for Spanish, as well as, of course, the Spanish Royal Academy's (DRAE) dictionary.

As for computers, I mostly work with Office 2003 (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc) and Internet (basic web design, e-mail). As translation programs (CAT) I use Trados 7, Wordfast, or SDLX.  

I do my best to make your text look like the original (layout), as far as possible.

My fees vary according to urgency (which is 15% extra) and language, as well as the characteristics of the text (for example, frequent projects of great volume may have a discount). I can charge per source (original) or target (translated) word: note that there usually are less words in a Swedish or English text than in a Spanish one.

My minimum fee, as a translator, is 25 euro.

When it comes to interpreting, the fee is calculated by the hour.
